This the time of the year in Portugal when the turnip greens are produced. These vegetables are excellent for digestion and they are well known for being rich in potassium, vitamins A, C, folic acid and calcium.
Due to my father's overweight they are also important because they have few calories. This precious vegetables usually join the meals of my father, who usually prepare them in the cream form or simply cooked meal with codfish and boiled potatoes that my father likes so much.
